With a mission to provide students around the world with service opportunities, Key Club participates in community transformation, one student at a time. Key Club members pledge to support and serve their homes, their schools, their communities, their nations, and their God through participation in diverse projects, including the Eliminate Project.
To end maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) around the world, UNICEF and Kiwanis International combined forces with the Eliminate Project. The Eliminate Project targets the world’s poorest and most marginalized mothers and infants.
With grim statistics, such as one baby dying every nine minutes, and 60,000 newborns dying annually from MNT, Eliminate works toward the global goal of immunizing 129 million mothers and their future infants. In addition to vaccines and syringes, this ambitious and worthy goal requires resources such as thousands of skilled staff members and safe storage of vaccines.
